He represented Peterborough in the
 House of Commons of Canada as
a member of theConservative Party
 from January 23, 2006 until November 5, 2014.
 After being charged by Elections Canada
 with falsifying election documents and
 knowingly exceeding the Election spending
 limit, he resigned from the Conservative caucus.
